The new LG G FLEX and its curves sure do take us to the new generation of phones. The new phone has quite some advantages with its high price range which will be discussed whether its worth buying by an everyday regular person.
Th phone costs $940 US dollars.Well that takes it out of the most regular day users' budget.Th phone will not satisfy all the needs of the users who will buy it paying around $200 to $300 just for its curved display. The phone will not provide profitable return on the ones who invest in it but LG predicts that the curved screen business will grow upto $2.5 billion by 2018.LG is quite proud of its product.
The phone has160.5 x 81.6 x 8.7 mm (6.32 x 3.21 x 0.34 in) screen and curved display which is smaller than what u get in Nokia Lumia 1520 and HTC One Max, so it is not exactly the king of mobiles in size.
The most interesting thing about LG G Flex is its self healing, scratch resistant back cover. It is very effective and very useful. The phone offers new generation of Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen. The phone is not HD as you might expect it to be the phone also isn't 1020 P its 720 P.Well the LG lacks in the display which one might not expect in OLED display.
Now coming to the camera of the phone which is not excellent as well.It takes fine pictures adding good amount of noise and a small amount of blue color which is actually cool. But the brightness and color perception is not so good. The camera is 13MP, f/2.4, AF, LED flash, HDR (No OIS).
The battery is 3500MAH which will last a day with regular use.
The internal storage is 32GB which is alright. The phone does not support external storage.
What to talk about here is the phones' curved screen.Believe it or not the design is quite advantageous.
The phone is flexible means if even if u sit on the phone it will bear the pressure smoothly. The design is very good for people who often by mistake sit on their mobile phones and break their new shiny device. The design is good for when you make a call the speakers are brought near the mouth so the other person hears you more clearly. The gaming and video watching experience is also a great delight.
The details......
