Vladimir Putin said, during a meeting with members of the House of the Federation Council, that the legislation introduced last summer and dubbed as the “Russian SOPA,” has failed to meet its objectives.“Even after we have adopted these solutions for intellectual property protection in the field of cinema, recent analysis has shown that it does not work as effectively as we expected,” Putin said.

3.Windows 8.1 on mobile phones.
Microsoft has reportedly shifted the new version of windows operating system 8.1 to handset manufacturers and will be available in about a month.Handset manufacturers have been testing the new version and if everything turns out fine they will bring the new operating system not later than April.The windows has been just finished and the entry in the market is quite soon taking into account the time it was finished but lets see if Microsoft has something else in mind.

Google and Yahoo reveals the various transparency requests they have received from various law enforcement agencies all over world for the later half of 2013.
Google received 27,477 about some 42,648 accounts.
For Yahoo 21,425 requests regarding 32,493 accounts were received.
The numbers are bigger than the previous year indicating the increased interest of government agencies in the virtual life of their suspects.

5.BBM to be available on Nokia devices.
BBM has 113 million registered and 85 million monthly users is one of the most popular messaging service in the world but since it is limited to Blackberry devices it poses restrictions to other users and to increase its user base the company has decided to make it available for some Nokia phones.Initially BBM was supposed to be an advantage for Balckberry users but since the number of Balckberry users are decreasing the company decides for BBM to extend to other mobile phones.Not only that BBM will also be available on windows platform.
6.Era of 2K on mobile phones.
